With more nearly 30 years in the biz (gulp), I’ve bought, sold, leased, developed, re-developed, consulted on, and managed shopping centers of all shapes, sizes and importance…including quite a few of my own.

I have been through my share of economic ups and downs and in the process, and have developed a common sense, no excuse approach to filling up empty spaces. More than anything else, my clients appreciate my willingness to leverage my personal experience and my rolodex (20 deals with National Retailers in the past 12 months alone) to help them achieve their business objectives.

In August of 2009 I was tasked with leasing a shopping center that had fallen to 25% occupancy in a very tough market. In October, I took Beth’s leasing seminar and she actually accompanied me on multiple canvassing trips. I wanted to let you know that I had the best canvassing week EVER last week! I was prospecting specially for a barber shop, beauty supply and medical office, all of which I have as former tenants at my center. I canvassed 5 barber shops and 2 of them viewed the space with me that same day. Same thing with the medical office; I canvassed about 7 doctors offices and out of the 7, one doctor followed me to the space and viewed it with me THE SAME DAY. This has never happened to me and the common denominator was that I had a flyer, pictures and floor plans with me of the spaces. The results: I ran credit on the barber shop today and sent him a proposal and the doctor’s broker has contacted me and is getting a proposal together. I’m saying all of this because I wanted to let you know that I listened to everything we discussed in our session in NY and in Atl and I’m putting it to practice. I’m really excited because I’m seeing results faster than I thought.
